Smugglers Arrested After Disposing Truck With Tyres And A SUV

The Seme command of the Nigeria Customs Service has seized a smuggled L450 SUV that was disguised with posters of a deceased person supposedly going for burial.

The disguised jeep which was purportedly taken a corpse for burial was discovered to be smuggled into the country.

Customs Public Relation Officer (PRO) , Seme Area Command; Mr Taupyen, Selchang, explained that, apart from the SUV, a waste disposal truck was also seized.

According to the PRO, the truck was found to have been stuffed with 534 pieces of used tyres.

Commenting on the two seizures, the Customs Area Controller assured “that no amount of antics devised by smugglers will go undetected by the officers .

The PRO gave the identities of suspects arrested in connection with the two seizures as: Taofiq Oyewale and Segun Oyinola.
