The Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has said that the creation of state police will go along way in curbing the incessant murder committed by herdsmen.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has backed the calls for decentralisation of the Nigeria Police. The number two citizen made the call at the opening ceremony for the two-day summit on national security organised by the Senate on the spate of killings by herdsmen and other crimes across the country.
He is quoted as saying: “State police is the way to go.”
The event, which entered closed doors after the ceremony, is ongoing at the NAF Centre in Abuja.
