Distressing news broke out of Toronto, Canada, on Thursday, as local police issued an international arrest warrant for two young Brazilian footballers who took part in this summer’s Pan American Games.
The two players named are Andrey da Silva Ventura of Botafogo and Lucas Piazon of Reading FC, who is on loan from Chelsea.
The sexual assault reportedly occurred on the morning of the 26th July when Piazon and Ventura met two girls at a nightclub and went to their residence.

Chelsea ace Lucas Piazon is wanted by Canadian police in connection with a sexual assault involving a 21-year-old woman in the summer. A warrant has been issued by Toronto Police for the Blues striker, who is currently on loan at Reading, along with fellow Brazil Under-22s international Andrey da Silva.
The incident in question is said to have taken place during the Pan Am Games in July, when the two players met their alleged victim at a Toronto nightclub before returning to her house. It is alleged that Piazon and Da Silva sexually assaulted the female after she had fallen asleep. The pair would need to be extradited to Canada in order to face any charges.
