This was introduced as the order of the day by the senate leader, Ali Ndume. The loan is for the Lagos state Development Policy Operation (DPO).
It was referred to the adhoc committee on local and foreign debts to report back in two weeks.
Meanwhile, Senator Aliyu Sabi representing Niger North senatorial district raised a point of order for a motion to be introduced on Wednesday, November 4, on the demise of the late Emir of Borgu, Alhaji Haliru Dantoro.
However, three bills were also presented for first reading on the floor of the Senate.
The bills are titled the control of delegated legislation bill 2015, counterfeit and fake drugs and unwholesome processed foods (miscellaneous provisions) (amendment) bill 2015 and the National Youth Development Agency bill 2015.
Meanwhile, the Senate adhoc committee on works led by Senator Barnabas Gemade, yesterday, November 2, visited some states in south east Nigeria to checkout the state of some federal roads.
In another development, the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions will resume the investigation of the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde over a petition brought by Dr. George Uboh.
