FirstBank of Nigeria Limited through its First@artsinitiative has partnered the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) in hosting the COSON Week 2015.
This partnership, according to the bank, was in line with its initiative to drive perception change, grow brand affinity among the youth and the upwardly mobile segment with great support for capacity building in the creative and performing arts industry. This year’s COSON Week is scheduled to run from November 1 to November 7, 2015.
The COSON Week 2015 which will attract leaders and key players in the nation’s entertainment industry promises to raise-the-bar of entertainment in Nigeria.
The COSON Chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji said: “COSON was established to put value to the intellectual property rights of Nigerian artistes and others who invest in the music industry. During the forthcoming COSON week, you should expect awe inspiring events different from anything you have seen before. Lagos will be lit up for seven days in a myriad of colours, and each of the seven back-to-back events will leave Nigerian entertainment lovers with an unforgettable experience.”
According to the Group Head, Marketing and Corporate Communications, FirstBank, Mrs. Folake Ani-Mumuney, the partnership with COSON Week 2015 accentuates thebank’s, and indeed, the FBNHoldings Group position to drive enterprise in the Nigerian economy and promote the development of creative and performing arts industry.
“FirstBank is particularly interested in Arts and Culture and has established First@arts initiative as a platform dedicated to promoting arts and culture events,” she added.
