Popular catholic priest, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka has been hailed for providing 4,500 jobs for the people of Enugu state through his company, Aqua Rapha Investment Nigeria Limited.
The commendation for the priest came from the governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who made the remark when he visited the Mbaka’s company for the launch of her new product lines – Rapha Soya oil and Rapha Carbonated drinks.
Ugwuanyi stated that his government is interested in business initiatives such as that of Fr Mbaka that create jobs for the people of the state and turn around its economic fortunes.
According to Vanguard, the governor also added that the inherent benefits are enormous and deserve the commendation of his administration
He expressed his excitement that the achievement of the company has reduced the crime rate in the state as he affirmed that a lot of youths are now meaningfully engaged by the company.
The governor said: “As the governor of Enugu State, I am happy that this development is taking place in my state. I am happy that this company is providing employment for 4,500 people.
“It means a lot to the state. It has added value and improved the standard of living of our people. Be rest assured of the support of the Enugu State Government.”
Responding to the governor’s remark, Fr. Mbaka thanked the state chief executive for finding it important to come and launch the products in spite of his tight schedule.
He assured the governor of his solidarity and persistent support to his goodwill and his vision for the state, adding that the joy of the company was to give people job, reduce unemployment, fight poverty and maintain peace in the state.
In another development, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, yesterday, November 15, expressed his regret at joining the All Progressives Congress without dragging Governor Ugwuanyi along with him.
