Former PDP presidential campaign spokesperson, Femi Fani Kayode has responded to the words of the Chairman of DAAR Communication, Dokpesi, who had earlier stated that the party made a mistake for allowing erstwhile president, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to continue as the party’s presidential candidate in the last presidential election.
DAILY POST reports that Dokpesi, during a PDP Planning Committee conference stated that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, failed when it did not allow a northerner to take over after the death of Late Yar’ Adua. He said it was a regrettable error which must be left behind for the party to break new grounds in its effort to reclaim power from the ruling APC.
The former Aviation minister, however, kicked against this claim on his tweeter handle @realFFK. He wrote, It was not a mistake for PDP to field Jonathan in the last election and neither is an apology for doing so appropriate or necessary.
