A man was arrested on a charge of sexual assault after allegedly sexually assaulting three different women in just three hours, police in New York said.
The New York Police Department said that they arrested 20-year-old Robert Bowie of the Bronx, after being accused of raping a woman and trying to rape two others inside apartment buildings.
Bowie was charged with burglary, sexual assault, robbery, rape, criminal sexual act and coercion. According to the police investigation, all three attacks occurred on Thursday morning.
Around 5:30 a.m., Bowie followed a 33-year-old woman into her apartment, grabbed her and tried to rape her. She was able to fight him and he fled the scene.
Around 7:30 a.m., Bowie followed a 24-year-old woman into her apartment.
Bowie grabbed her shoulders. The victim screamed, and the suspect fled. Around 8:30 a.m. a 40-year-old woman saw the suspect in the stairwell of her apartment building.
The suspect tried to engage her in conversation before forcing himself into the apartment. Bowie then raped her. She was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was treated and released.
