Former Secretary General of Afenifere, Senator Femi Okurounmu said former president, Olusegun Obasanjo is not a Yoruba man. The elder statesman made the disclosure, on Wednesday morning, during an interview on a Rockcity fm show, “day break show”, in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.
The question was initiated by a follower of the programme, named Abdul Rasheed Okenla, who text in a message that “it was on this station I called on Friday that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and high Chief Olusegun Olusegun Obasanjo to call Afenifere to order because, they have lost focus, so as not to set this country on fire, Pa Fasoranti confirmed it the truth is bitter.”
In response to the call made by the programme commentator, Senator Okurounmu reacted and said, “I don’t know what he meant by Fasoranti confirmed, because Fasoranti didn’t say anything that was confirming what Obasanjo and Tinubu said or did not say, and any case if anybody is to call Afenifere to order, it is not Obasanjo, it is not Tinubu, because Obasanjo has never believed in Afenifere, Obasanjo has never even believed he is a Yoruba man.”
He reteirated that, ” Obasanjo has always said he’s not a Yoruba man.
