A 49-year-old suspect who claimed to be a prophet and also herbal practitioner, Roger Maduka Adigwe, sent to Kirikiri medium prisons, Apapa Tuesday afternoon.

Adigwe was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court 12, Ogba on Tuesday November 3 on a charge of stealing receipt of a landed property and Senior School Certificate Examinations SSCE result belonging to a lady, Funke Adebola.
Police prosecutor, Corporal Una Michael informed the court via the charge sheet that Adigwe committed the offence on October 2, 2015 at 49, Itogbe street, Agege, Lagos.
He pleaded not guilty to the one count charge. When the presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Gbajumo asked for his lawyer, the suspect retorted “that’s not a big deal. I have the mental ability to defend myself.”
He was admitted to bail in the sum of N20, 000 with two sureties in like sum. One of them must be his blood relative. They must swear to affidavits of means and show their tax receipts
As he eventually being taken to prison on remand. The self-acclaimed prophet Adigwe could not give any phone contact of his family or associate who could assist to effect his release on bail later, which means, he could be in Kirikiri prisons for as long as two sureties showed up to sign his bail bond.
