ASHLEY Cole is reportedly expecting a baby with his girlfriend.

Ex husband of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini expecting first child with Italian girlfriend

The footballer, who was previously married to Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, will become a dad next year.

Ashley is expecting his first child with his Italian girlfriend.

According to The Sun, the ex-England player and his Italian model girlfriend Sharon Canu are expecting a boy.

The newspaper reports that Cheryl has been made aware of the news, but "not from him".

The footballer is expecting his first child in March .

"Sharon's sweet and from a normal Italian family. His friends and family love her."

The baby will be the first child for professional footballer Ashley, who started dating Cheryl Fernandez-Versini back in 2004.

Cheryl, who is now married to Jean-Bernard, married Cole in 2006 but divorced in 2010 citing "unreasonable behaviour" for the reason behind the split.

Talking to InStyle Magazine about the split, Cheryl said: ""To be honest, I coped in public and crumbled in private."

Ashely and Cheryl divorced in 2010.
