President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday inaugurated two permanent secretaries whose appointments he recently approved.
Buhari had recently approved the appointments of 18 new federal permanent secretaries.
While he inaugurated 16 of them a few days after, two of the top government officials were said to be unavoidably absent at the ceremony.
The two officials were inaugurated on Monday shortly before the commencement of an emergency meeting of the Federal Executive Council called for the purpose of approving the Medium Term Expenditure Framework in preparation for the presentation of the 2016 Budget.
The two new federal permanent secretaries inaugurated on Monday were Mr. Olukunle Bamgbose and Alhaji Mahmoud Isa-Dutse.
Shortly after taking their oaths of office and allegiance, the two officials took turn to sign the oath register before the President while Buhari counter-signed.
Thereafter, the permanent secretaries and journalists took their leave while the FEC meeting started behind closed-doors.
