Former Senate president David Mark has cautioned the external forces against intervening in the upcoming Benue South senatorial district election.
He also urged area residents to resist possible manipulations in the process of the rerun election.
Mark, whose victory had been previously nullified, said over the weekend that he was ready for the new round of polls.
“It’s the Idomas who will vote on the day of the election, no one can impose anyone on us. No one outside Idoma land can manipulate or impose a candidate on my people in my life time. It will never happen.
“We have advanced so must that no one can come and dictate to us. Our people will always do that which will uplift our land and not according to the dictates of anyone from outside.”
