She's been gracing our television screens as co-host of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve for the past seven years.

And on Thursday Fergie was certain to impress as she wore a semi-sheer gown to the red carpet arrival for her eighth year in a row on the ABC special.

Like the past few years, the 40-year-old will be hosting the Los Angeles party while on the other side of the country Ryan Seacrest emcees the New York festivities with the aid of Jenny McCarthy.

The Black Eyed Peas singer looked stunning in her metallic gown as the diaphanous material of the frock revealed she was wearing a tiny black bodysuit underneath.

The fabulously fit mother-of-one wore her golden locks in flowing waves over her shoulders as she sported a bright slick of red lip paint.

Of course throughout the course of the evening, the pop star will surely be making many outfit changes to ring in the new year.
