Some Nigerian governors seem to be doing their work effectively on the social media.
Some governors in Nigeria are really trying so hard to pull some showman stunts so as to let the people of their states know they are in touch with the grassroots.
Some of them are so much into it it has become comical of a sort. While others are settling down to do the work they were elected to do, others are doing everything possible to oust the likes of Ali Baba, Julius Agwu and Basket Mouth from the comedy profession.
Top on the list of these showmen governors are Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State who stops at nothing to showcase his grassrootness.
He has been to the markets in his state where he helps market women sell their fish, kpomo (Cow Skin), serves Asun (Goat Meat delicacy), hitch rides on Okada (Commercial motorcycles) and is very comfortable drinking palmwine with his people.
Next to come is Rochas Okorocha of Imo State who was captured helping a woman roast and sell her corn. At another time, he was seen feeding a baby at a health center he went to commission.
What about Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Almakura who went to a boarding school and took a nap on a dilapidated mattress meant for the students? He was also captured stepping down from his convoy of cars to 'dash' a disabled handicapped boy some money and later reports said he adopted the boy.
Then comes Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna State who is so close to his people that he was seen sucking a stick of sugar cane at a function.
Sometime last year, Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola looked funny dressed in a scholl uniform while launching an educational project.
