Lassa Fever Outbreak Kills 35 In Ibadan Oyo , Niger, Taraba, Kano, Rivers & Edo States, 76 Quarantined
At least 35 people have died in 7 states in the past 6 weeks of Lassa Fever outbreak in Nigeria.
It first started with 3 fatalities in Taraba state before reaching River State where over 3 have been confirmed dead.
Health Minister, Prof Adewole today said cases of Lassa fever have been reported in 5 more states (Oyo, Nasarawa, Niger, Kano and Edo states).
As we speak 35 people have died of Lassa fever virus infection in Nigeria.
Out of the 76 quarantined in the 7 states, 14 new cases have been confirmed.
