Iheanacho, Akpom score hat-trick
Ighalo’s goal sinks Nottingham Forest

NIGERIAN internationals were simply on fire yesterday in the British FA Cup with the duo of Kelechi Iheanacho (Man City) and Chuba Akpom (Hull) scoring a hat-trick, just as Odion Ighalo fired Watford into the fifth round.

Iheanacho who has never had it so good since joining City fired on all cylinders as he scored in the 4th, 24th and 74th minute as City white washed Aston Villa by 4-0 to move into the next round in style.

Chuba Akpom on his part stole the show in the Hull City, Bury FC clash scoring the three goals with which his side buried Bury, a League One outfit. His goals came in the 14th, 57th and 69th minute. Bury managed to pull one back courtesy of Craig Jones’s 86th minute effort.

Watford relied on Odion Ighalo’s late strike (89th minute) to survive the forest battle against Nottingham Forest.

Defending champion, Arsenal did not find things easy against Burnley in a game that ended 2-1 in favour of the Gunners. The first stanza of the encounter ended 1-1 only for Arsenal to pull through courtesy of Alexis Sanchez 53rd minute strike.
