“I’m so sorry, I’m going to faint” were the words spoken by BBC weather girl, Rachel Mackley, 33, before she fainted on air. This immediately prompted the producers to cut the camera feed focusing on her and it moved back to presenters Polly Evans and Rob Smith.
Moments before Rachel collapsed, Mr Smith could be seen urging fellow staff: “Quick, quick chaps, if we could sort Rachel out there”. Even Miss Evans who appeared to be in shock, told viewers: “We just need to have a check on Rachel there.”

However, Rachel Mackley appears to be okay now as a BBC sports reporter Claire Cottingham later tweeted: “Just spoken to Rachel Mackley and she’s doing okay.
“Scary moment on South East Today but she’s doing alright.”
