Embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki was compelled to make a public appearance following the ongoing nationwide protest by the members of the Nigeria Labour Congress on the unprecedented hike of electricity tariffs.
Former Governor of Kwara state, Bukola Saraki had difficulties hiding his mood while holding a meeting with the protesters of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Abuja today, 8th of January as he was pictured in a very low spirit.
Although the meeting was a successful one during which the protesters stated their outright rejection of the hike in electricity tarrifs which doesn't tally with the quality of services provided by the power companies; reports have it that Saraki's speech didn't portray his usual self as the number 3 citizen of Nigeria.
It would be recalled that the Supreme court has adjudicated on the continuation of Saraki's trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal of Justice Danladi Umar over a 13 count charge of false declaration of assets.
