While still flying high up in the air, some female plane passengers have engaged in a vicious fight that saw them exchange serious blows.
Five women were filmed pulling each other's hair and screaming as a fight broke out on board a plane over a boom box speaker.
According to Mirror Online, the fight erupted when two woman on the Spirit Airlines Flight 141 from Baltimore to LA, started blasting out tunes.
Several passengers asked the pair to turn the music down, but instead of heeding the warning the women demanded "What are you going to do?”.
Spirit Airlines spokesman Paul Berry told The Los Angeles Times : "Then to provoke the other customer they were holding up their boom box in the air, waving it around."
A group of women then approached the two when the plane pulled up at the gate, starting an all-out brawl, which was captured on video.
In it, the female passengers can be seen throwing punches, pulling at each other's hair and screaming as other passengers look on. Some passengers move out of the way of the scuffle, while many others can be seen filming it on their cellphones.
One of the passengers, Emerson Silver, told NBC the situation was 'serious'. He said: "They were throwing serious punches. The ladies — they were serious."
Flight attendants were able to break up the flight before it count too out of control. No one was seriously injured.
The crew notified LAX police and officers were waiting for the women when the flight landed.
LAX Police spokesman Rob Pedregon described the incident to The Washington Post as a `'mutual combat situation".
He said: "It's just one of those things. People in the air, stuck in a small confined space for a number of hours.
"It isn't uncommon. People lose their tempers and just refuse to get along."
The FBI were also called in and all five were pulled off the plane and interviewed.
But no one was arrested or charged, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller told The Times
