Synopsis
"Shampaign" is a political drama series that follows the unruly lives of a young political campaign team who work tirelessly to make political history by getting a single mother elected as the first female President of the Country whiles dealing with their own personal demons.
Directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso, the series stars John Dumelo, Jot Agyeman, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Joselyn Dumas, Nana Aba Anamoah, Fred Amugi, Zynnell Zuh, Akorfa Adjeani-Asiedu, Anima Amisa Amoah, among others.
Francis came to study in Ghana. He quickly got lured into the machinations of Ghanaian politics. He’s Naana’s campaign manager and the number two man, a position he held once before when they were in University and he lobbied for her to be the first female SRC President of the University.
Francis is loyal, passionate, and analytical. While he’s married to the daughter of one of Ghana’s richest men, he also harbors strong feelings for his boss and the woman he’s pined after since their days in University.
However his actions after catching his wife in bed with another man sets in motion a chain of events that could throw their chances of winning a hotly contested presidential elections into the deep end.
"Shampaign" made its debut at the Sparrow Entertainment Festival which held on Friday, February 8 to February 9, 2016.
The series would air on Africa Magic Showcase, every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10pm.
