The images have emerged amid claims a Batik Air Boeing 737 pummeled into a Trans Nusa ATR 72 as it tried to take off from Halim Perdanakusuma airport.
The Batik Air flight ID7703 was at the end of the runway when the tip of its wing reportedly clipped the Trans Nusa aircraft that was being towed by a tractor.
The left wing of a Boeing 737, which was en route to Ujung Pandang in East Sulawesi, appears to have been completely ripped off in the smash, reports say.
All 49 passengers and seven crew members were evacuated via the plane's emergency slide after the incident on Monday.
There have been no reports of casualties and the cause of the crash is not yet known.
According to reports on Twitter, the airport, located in the east of the Indonesian capital city, has been closed until 22.00 local time.
Edward Sirait, president of Lion Air Group, said: "We are waiting for the results of investigations from the relevant authorities."
