A retired Police ASP has been killed by gunmen during a night attack on Fadan Karshi in Sanga LGA of Kaduna State.
ASP Elisha Sambe was killed at night on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in his residence when about seven gunmen invaded the community, residents say.
The attack on Karshi community is coming barely six weeks after the killing of the District Head of the area, Chief Bala Madaki alongside his nephew who was writing WAEC.
Pulse gathered that over 800 people have been reportedly killed while several houses destroyed since the commencement of unabated attacks in 2014 in the area.
A resident, Bulus Ishaku told Pulse that about seven people wearing black attires storm the community on Tuesday night 21 June 2016 and open fire on the retired police officer.
"We don't know what is happening. A day won't pass without our people killed. We won't stop calling on the government to come to our aid," he said.
The Police in Kaduna is yet to issue an official statement concerning the attack.
