– Murtala Muhammed specialist hospital looses staff to fatal road accident
Four medical personnel of the Murtala Muhammed specialist hospital, Kano have been killed after an auto crash that happened along Zaria-Kaduna expressway on Wednesday morning, August 17.
According to reports, the deceased were on their way to Kaduna state to condone with one of their colleague who lost a relative.
Daily Sun reports that the accident occurred at Jaji, along the expressway after their vehicle crashed into a truck .
The head of pharmacy department of the hospital listed the affected staff to include a senior pharmacist technician, Abdulhamid Abudulkadir, Salisu Mohammed, MaiLadan and a sub-staff lady with the department simply identified as Marry.
While the body of Marry, an indigene of Adamawa state had been returned to her home town, the rest were returned to Kano for their Islamic funeral rites.
As at the time of filing this reports, efforts by Daily Sun to get the Kaduna state command of the Federal Road Safety Corp(FRSC) to comment proved abortive
Meanwhile, a bloody crash that led to the death of about 12 persons has recently occurred along the Bauchi-Kano road.
Witnesses report that 11 of the victims were operatives of a popular local security outfit, called Danga Security, heading back to Bauchi from Ningi, a town about 70km away.
