JUST IN: Obaseki’s running mate to ‘protest’ at INEC collation centre

Philip Shaibu, running mate of Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Edo state governorship election, is currently at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Edo state.

Accompanied by armed policemen, Shaibu walked in around 7:43am.

Security men at the entrance of the administrative building initially prevented him from gaining access, but he eventually gained access to the premises.

A source said he came to protest the alleged cancellation of the election in his unit.

Shaibu voted at unit 11 in Auchi, Estako west local government area.
