The Council’s Chairman, Mr. Mark Jagaba, told newsmen, yesterday, in Minna that the attack lasted for about four hours.
According to him, four Fulani and two Gbagyi were killed, while several women and children were injured.
Jagaba said the cattle rustlers stole over 700 cattle and undisclosed number of goats and sheep before fleeing the community, adding that normalcy has returned to the area.
Confirming the attack, DSP, Bala Elkana, the Police Public Relations Officer, said that two suspects had been arrested in connection with the crime, while efforts were on to get the others who are currently at large.
He said the command was yet to ascertain the actual number of cattle rustled by the attackers.
Recall that heavily armed Fulani herdsmen on Monday killed five persons in Gbada community in Kaure, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
