President Muhammadu Buhari has held a meeting with Rotimi Akeredolu, the govenor elect of Ondo state, in the Aso Rock presidential villa on Thursday, December 1.
The news accompanied by photos from the meeting was provided by Femi Adesina, the special adviser to the president on media and publicity.

The meeting was also attended by Kayode Fayemi, the current minister of mines and steel development and former governor of Ekiti state.

The topics of discussion during the event remain sketchy. Expectedly, the president decided to congratulate Mr Akeredolu with success at concluded governorship election in Ondo state in person and discuss plans for the future.

Also, earlier today the president met with Senate president Bukola Saraki to discuss the 2017 budget proposal which the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved on Wednesday, November 30, for onward transmission to the National Assembly.
