Recall that the Senate had rejected the first version of the list as a result of numerous petitions against the nominees
According to The Punch, several new names have emerged on the list while retired Justice George Oguntade (Lagos) and Ahmed Ibeto (Niger) maintained their nomination.
Recall that following the ambassadorial nominees list submitted by President Muhammadu Buhari, the Senate summoned Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal, to explain the processes by which the list came about.
This decision was taken after Joshua Dariye representing Plateau Central senatorial district raised the issue as a point of order.
In reaction to this, the lawmakers stood up to express their dissatisfaction with the ambassadorial nominees list.
