Ogun Demolishes Hospital Over Kashamu’s Alleged Illegal Renovation

The Ogun State government Tuesday demolished a primary healthcare centre at Obada in Ijebu-Igbo, Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state over alleged illegal renovation and non-approval.

The hospital was being renovated by the Senator representing Ogun East in the National Assembly, Buruji Kashamu, as part of his constituency projects.

New Telegraph learnt that agents of the state government, backed by armed policemen, stormed the health centre in the morning and demolished the facility.

Eye witnesses account said the construction workers at the site were sent packing by government officials led by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Babatunde Ipaye.
