Mechanic kills 3 in ghastly accident
- A mechanic who drove his customer’s vehicle has killed three people in a motor accident

Three people have been left dead in a ghastly accident that occurred in Plateau state on Monday, January 2.
Premium Times reports that the accident involved an SUV car, a tricycle, and two motorcycles.
According to an eyewitness, a mechanic whose name is unknown caused the accident when he drove the car that belonged to his customer.
The mechanic drove it into the tricycle and the motorcycle. It was learned that the mechanic was at fault as he rammed into the tricycle and the motorcycle.
The angry residents in the area thereafter set the wreckage of the vehicle ablaze and the driver ran away to save his life.

The residents claimed that about nine people died in the accident before the figure was later clarified by an FRSC official.
The spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in Plateau, Andrew Bala, said three people died from the accident.
“The accident occurred yesterday (Monday, January 2, 2017,) afternoon along ECWA secondary school Maingo, in Bassa local government.
“Three persons died on the spot. Three others who sustained injuries, our men on patrol rescued them, and they are being treated at the Evangel specialist hospital, here in Jos.
“Among the dead were two adults and a child,” he said.
