Atiku meets Nana Akufo-Addo, gets presidential nod in Ogun state

- Atiku also got a presidential endorsement from a political group in Ogun state
Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over the weekend met with the newly elected Ghanaian president, Nana Akufo Addo.
Atiku made this known via his twitter page earlier today, February 13, while he described the 72-year old Ghanaian leader as ''a great man and a friend.''
Both men were holding hands and smiling at each other in the picture Atiku attached to his tweet.

Meanwhile a group called Atiku Political Crusaders (APC) was launched this weekend in Ogun state.
At the well-attended ceremony held at the Ago- Egun Town Hall, Isabo, Abeokuta, national president of the group, Sanco Ese, said the crusaders were not out to serve as opposition to the current administration.
He said the group had succeeded in bringing together, intellectuals who believed in the political ideology of Atiku Abubakar for the restructuring and the implementation of the principle of true fiscal federalism in Nigeria.
He noted that the group was mainly formed to ensure tht Atiku emerges the president of Nigeria come 2019.

Atiku has has never hidden his intention to become Nigeria's number one citizen after serving as the country's vice president for eight years (1999-2007).
Generally seen as a more flexible candidate with a nationalistic outlook, a recent visit by the leadership of pan Igbo socio cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo to the former vice president recently sparked rumours of an endorsement from the foremost Igbo group.
