The Kogi nominee will be replacing James Ocholi, minister of state for labour, while the one from Gombe would replace Amina Mohammed, former minister for environment, who is the current United Nations deputy secretary- general.
The list of ministerial nominees is coming at a time when the senate stood down for two weeks consideration of the request of Buhari to confirm the appointment of resident electoral commissioners (RECs) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The senate based its decision on what it termed disregard for its proceedings.
The upper legislative chamber berated the president for appearing to be doing nothing about its rejection of Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the EFCC.
