Ken Nnamani, Fayose disagree on reform committee

The chairman, Constitutional and Electoral Reform Committee, Sen. Ken Nnamani and the governor of Ekiti state, Mr. Ayo Fayose on Wednesday, disagreed on the composition of the Constitutional and Electoral Committee as the committee holds it public hearing in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.

Fayose, who was the first to hit the salvo at the Committee had alleged that with politicians from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), dominating the Committee, there is possible compromise in the report of the Committee at the end of the exercise.

But, Nnamani responding declared that there is nothing to be afraid of by the governor as the Committee report would still pass through the Presidency and the National Assembly, which has members drawn from different political parties.

"It does not make sense to say that because I am no longer a member of the PDP that I will compromise. Six months ago,I was with PDP and then nobody is talking about being compromised now I am in APC and the story is changing.

"Does it mean I don't have the fundamental right to belong to any association, which the governor of Ekiti state is trying to infringe upon? Nnamani queried.
