Senate says Kashamu should be left alone until cases in court are resolved
The Senate resolved during plenary on Tuesday, April 11 that the two institutions of government should stay any action on Kashamu's issue until the cases in court have been concluded.
The Senate's resolution follows from the singular prayer that was the recommendation of the Senate committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions headed by Sam Anyanwu.
Anyanwu said the committee's investigations showed that Kashamu's travails was masterminded by some people.
He noted the committee found that the Senator had been presented at several courts in Nigeria and has been acquitted of all charges.
Based on this, he said the two government institutions should wait for the outcome of fresh cases filed in court before taking any action.
