Concern over the health status of President Muhammadu Buhari heightens on Wednesday he failed to convene the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, for the third consecutive time.
Today’s meeting is being presided over by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
Buhari’s cabinet waited until 11am for him to show up, before the State House Chief of Protocols whispered into Osinbajo’s ears.
The Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa was also noticeably scanty, with only about 20 Ministers seated.
Osinbajo began the meeting with the National Anthem, as well as prayers by the Ministers of Education and Health, Adamu Adamu and Isaac Adewole respectively.

Penultimate Wednesday, Buhari was absent at the same meeting but the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said it was nothing to worry about.
Last week, the meeting did not hold and the Presidency attributed it to the Easter holidays.
The ongoing meeting started a few minutes after 11am when Osinbajo asked the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu; and the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole, to say both Muslim and Christian prayers respectively.
