Photos:Kidnapper throws grandma out of the car, tries escaping with her 11-month-old granddaughter in Gbagada, Lagos

On Tuesday afternoon around the Gbagada axis of Lagos State, a kidnapper was caught when he tried to kidnap a baby and the baby's Grandma.

According to an eyewitness, 'the mother of the little baby just parked, left the Granny and baby in the car so she could buy meat at the roadside.

She left the car engine running and before she returned the kidnapper entered the car, sent the granny down and drove off with the baby'.

Fortunately a soldier was passing by, immediately he took a bike to run after him, this led to multiple accident on the road.

The car somersaulted and stopped working and the kidnapper decided to lock himself and the baby inside the car in the middle of express way but area boys came to rescue the baby. The baby and grandma had little injuries.

The kidnapper was caught and was taken to Pedro Police station at Somolu.
