Senator Musiliu Obanikoro has denied he has officially defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress as earlier reported by some news media, News Punch not inclusive.
Media reports earlier today suggests that the former Minister of State (Defence) and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Daily Post on its account reported that Obanikoro announced his defection at a press conference in Lagos on Tuesday. The report went further to state that he was received by a former chieftain of the PDP, Lukman Ajose, who recently defected to the APC.
On the contrary, Koro, as he is fondly called by his admirer in a post on his verified Twitter handle @MObanikoro denied his defection reports.
He said the media wrongly insinuated his attendance at the town hall meeting of Lagos Central constituency organised by Senator Remi Tinubu as defection to APC.

"As a Constituent of Lagos Central Senatorial District, I today attended Sen. Remi Tinubu's Townhall Meeting to support her good work. My attendance has been insinuated wrongly in the media but all such speculations remain firmly in the realm of rumours and imaginations."
"I commend Sen. Remi Tinubu once again as I continue to consult with my political associates and friends in Lagos, and also across Nigeria".
"Whatever the future holds politically for us, it will be openly done by us and seen by all but right now, please disregard those rumours"
