He said Kalu was in APC but still in ‘hot rommance’ with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the governor of the state, Okezie Ikpeazu.

The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who addressed journalists on Friday in Abuja, said Chief Kalu’s relationship with the governor was aimed at securing deputy governorship and federal House of Representatives’ seats for his brothers.
Ikonne, who warned Kalu who joined the APC recently not to repeat what he allegedly did during his reign as governor of Abia State, said that they would resist such “devilish act”.
He said, “I know that the Abians will resist and APC members will also resist it because this kind of action is capable of tearing the party apart.

“Right now, we are building our party. The APC is getting stronger in Abia. More people are joining the party. More sincere and focused people are joining the party.
“For Chief Orji Uzor Kalu to have started his game, it is too bad. I condemn it in all totality. He cannot be in the APC and at the same time pallying with the sitting governor for his brother to run with him in 2019.
Under what platform is this arrangement going to take place because the governor has not joined the APC yet. Orji Kalu is one leg in the PDP and one leg in the APC. These are questions begging for answers and I know Abians won’t take this kind of game again.
“He should concentrate his effort in his Abia north zone and try and win his senatorial seat, instead of trying to plant his brother to run for Aba federal constituency and one to run as deputy governor with the serving governor.”
