President Muhammadu Buhari, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, including senior members of the National Assembly are currently meeting at the Presidential Villa.
The meeting started at exactly 9:12pm, but the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu was conspicuously absent.

The meeting was convened on the instance of President Buhari to possibly iron out grey areas relating to the amendment of the Electoral Act, particularly the general elections sequence.
Recall that the National Assembly members made some alterations to the 2019 election timetable, altering its sequence.
But Buhari had declined assent to the document, a development that may have pitched him against the law makers.
Also a High Court in Abuja had yesterday barred the National Assembly from overriding Buhari on the election timetable Bill.
