Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, the former governor of Kogi state has accused Governor Yahaya Bello of failing the people of his state.
Idris lamented that the people of Kogi state live in abject poverty and accused the administration of Yahaya Bello of ignoring the plight of the people.

Idris, who served from 2008 to 2011, made the statement while fielding questions from newsmen during an award ceremony organised by the forum of past assembly members in the state, The Sun reports.
He said: “Each time I come to the State, I hear of how people are suffering and dying of hunger due to bad governance and non-payment of salaries, and sometimes when I see what our people have been reduced to, with their children dropping out of school, I feel like crying for them."
Idris urged the people to put their hope on the Peoples Democratic Party and vote for the party in the 2019 elections.

We earlier reported that Governor Yahaya Bello says the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari will guarantee his re-election in 2019 because the “real voters are behind the president”.
The governor said this in a statement through Kingsley Fanwo, his director general of Media and Publicity, in Lokoja over the weekend. Bello said Buhari remains the most popular political figure among the masses of Nigeria.
