2018 budget: National Assembly officially reacts to Buhari’s complaint on appropriation

The National Assembly, on Friday, said the increase that was effected during the 2018 Appropriation circuit at the both chambers of the Assembly was meant to correct some political imbalances noticed in the proposal submitted by President Muhammad Buhari.

Addressing a joint session of the National Assembly correspondents, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi and his House of Representatives counterpart, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, faulted the claims by the Presidency that the budget was deliberately ‘padded’ by the lawmakers.
