Adamu Ciroma, former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has died at the age of 84.
A family source disclosed this to TheCable on Thursday afternoon, saying the elder statesman died at a hospital in Abuja.
A prominent politician, Ciroma served as minister of finance under ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo.
He was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
