Instead, Uba Sani, a political ally of Governor El-rufai was selected as the APC candidate for Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 2019 elections.
The 50-year-old activist cum politician had caught the wrath of the Governor when he and two other lawmakers in Kaduna refused to endorse his request for the loan of $350 million from the World Bank.
The Governor, 58, went on to authorise for the home of one of the lawmakers to be demolished and he cursed the others for their refusal to grant him the loan.
Many criticised President Muhammadu Buhari for his reaction to Senator Sulieman Hukunyi’s demolished house.
They said the President should have called his godson to order. But instead of doing so, the 75-year-old President of Nigeria addressed Governor El-rufai as the “bulldoozer,” at an event in the Villa.
This buoyed Governor El-rufai up to commit more atrocities in the state, DENISAURUS News understands.
At one point, Governor El-rufai claimed that the Nigerian President authorised him to start a process of recalling Comrade Sani.
The Presidency however, denied giving any authorisation to Governor El-rufai.

In reaction to the APC not submitting his name to INEC, Comrade Sani, 55, has left the Party, which brought the President Buhari into power in 2015.
In a letter seen by DENISAURUS News, he said: “I present to you my highest compliments and wish by this communication to formally offer to you my resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“l had joined the APC and remained with it against all odds in the belief that it will constitute a veritable platform for the realization of those democratic ideals which I hold very dear, that honor and integrity will be the ultimate ethos of the patty and, most importantly, that internal party democracy will always be the norm. However, only posterity can affirm the extent to which the APC has committed to and reflected these values.”
He added: “As I exit the APC at this point in time. I wish to formally thank the party for availing me the platform upon which I am currently serving this country in the honoured capacity of Senator of the Federal Republic.
“I wish the party well in all her future endeavors and ask sir, that you please accept the assurance of my highest considerations.”
