Credible sources within the Special Presidential Investigation Panel (SPIP) disclosed to SecretReporters that the Presidency has ordered them and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately begin a probe on Governor Bindo Jibrilla of Adamawa State and his Bauchi State counterpart Barrister Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
This we learnt is to blackmail and stop them from likely throwing their weight behind the newly emerged presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, the Waziri of Adamawa, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar whom both governors mandated their delegates to vote for during the APC primaries in 2015 with the Presidency seriously griped with the fear that the duo are still loyal to the Waziri.
Barely few days after his emergence, despite allegations of corruption, Atiku Abubakar who was a onetime Vice President in Nigeria (1999–2007), a business tycoon and the runner up to the keenly contested APC presidential primary election in 2015 is believed to have already started playing his cards and gaining massive support as he is perceived to be a better choice by many especially in the northern region where he hails from, the same zone with the sitting president.
In a bid by the Presidency to checkmate this, the chairman of the Economic and Financial crimes commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu we learnt was at the Villa on Sunday night to receive instructions on his next line of action as he was initially told to write to the United States government and begin extradition process on Atiku to answer his Halliburton case but may likely back down on that as the presidency fears that the action will backfire and likely lead to a civil revolution which may overthrow the government.
After being debriefed, it was alleged that Magu who disclosed to close sources that there exists a fear in the presidency that PDP may win the 2019 general elections is currently perfecting plans to move his family to the United States to seek for political asylum should Atiku Become the president.

The governor whose name was withheld is also believed to have been on the list of possible targets by the presidency should Atiku emerge as the PDP flag bearer. The Video analysis we learnt will take place today and subsequent actions taken against the governor in the coming weeks.
