The agenda of their meeting was not clear as of the time of filing this report. But, media report says, the President is trying to resolve the crisis that followed the ruling party’s primaries across the country.
Another agenda expected to be discuss is the signal coming from the Sourh-West, which is not assuring for the president’s reelection bid.

Recall, the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had decided to surrender the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives to the South-West region, if it wins the 2019 Presidential election.
The party had earlier ceded the position of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, to the same region.
These were part of a political strategy being planned by the party to enable voters from the region vote for its Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Peter Obi.
The current Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, who is also running with President Muhammadu Buhari, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, hails from Ogun State, in the South-West. Having his name on the ballot has, however, not translated into votes for the president.
Meanwhile, a group of Yoruba youths known as the Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association had warned the Jagaban of Lagos against supporting President Muhammadu Buhari reelection in 2019.

The President of the YYSA, Mr Olalekan Hammed, made their position known in a statement on Sunday.
He said it had become obvious that the All Progressives Congress and Buhari did not value the contributions of Tinubu towards the party and the emergence of Buhari as the President in 2015.
Hammed said the position of former President Olusegun Obasanjo that Tinubu did not hold any post within the APC was justifiable, saying Buhari had written the Independent National Electoral Commission to state that he was the national leader of the APC.
