The Senator representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has cautioned an individual he referred to as the ‘governor’s wife’ to stop talking about his hair everywhere she goes.
Sani did not mention which of the 36 Nigerian state governors’ wives he had in mind.
In a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, @ShehuSani, which he routed through his Facebook page, Sani wrote: “I appeal to Mr Governor to caution his wife to stop talking about my hair everywhere she goes on campaigns.

“Everywhere she goes, it’s all about my hair.
“It’s not my fault if her man is not blessed with hair.
“I consider it as hate speech.
“I will report her to Dr. Gummi or Council of Imams if she doesn’t stop.
“Haba Jammaa.”

It may be recalled that Senator Shehu Sani and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, do not see eye to eye.
During the All Progressives Congress party primaries, Sani was an aspirant wishing to be re-elected for his Senate seat, but he became frustrated as an alleged protégé of Governor el-Rufai bagged the party ticket.
Sani, at some point, put el-Rufai on the defensive when he claimed that the governor was acting on President Muhammadu Buhari’s instruction to frustrate his re-election bid.
Shehu Sani has since left the APC for Peoples Redemption Party, through which he hopes to be re-elected in the 2019 general elections to continue representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly.
He has also become a critic of his erstwhile party and also of Buhari’s administration.
