Trump signs Executive Order for Americans to be employed based on skill, not degrees

President Donald Trump has reformed the United States federal workforce by signing an Executive Order empowering Americans to be hired based on skill, not educational background.

Trump signed the order on Friday, at the White House, during the American Workforce Policy Advisory Board meeting, aired on the Government’s tweet.

“The federal government will no longer narrowly be focused on where you went to school but the skills and talents you bring to the job.

“We want the skill to be there, we want it to be based on merit,” Trump said.

According to the White House tweet, the implication of the executive order is that the federal government completely changes its “hiring process by prioritizing skills above educational background.”

Furthermore, the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, who chaired the initiative, said the order would further bring out the best in Americans.

She stressed it “will allow us to better recognize the talents and competencies of all Americans we hire.”

Below are the details of the order as published in the Federal government website:

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered as follows:
